Trees Can Help will become a portal where we focus on the benefits of trees including environmental, wellness, investing, social impact, and more. We will also focus on some of the ways you can help plant more trees, either through donations or investments.
Special attention will be given to the Norwegian social enterprise Better Globe AS and how the products they sell help reduce poverty and corruption in East Africa the tree planting and agroforestry. With Better Globe, you get the unique opportunity to accumulate shares in a Swedish tree asset management company pre-IPO while creating significant and lasting positive impacts among rural farming communities in Kenya and Uganda.
The best way to support tree planting
We believe that Better Globe represents the best option to help support tree planting and poverty alleviation through social entrepreneurship. Note that Better Globe is not an investment company, but their products enable you to transfer half of the trees you help to plant to a Swedish tree asset management company, making it financially sustainable to support Better Globe’s efforts long-term.
The other half of the trees are awarded to agroforestry farmers as compensation for helping to plant and care for the trees. The farmers and their communities may also receive other support based on your purchases, such as training, access to microfinance, support for children's education, and more.
Become a shareholder pre-IPO
Trees converted into company shares enable Better Globe customers to become shareholders in Tree Partner Solutions AB pre-IPO. The company already has millions of African mahogany trees under management with the first few trees planted as early as 2007. The company’s total adjusted net asset value based on these trees as of the 1st of February 2024 is €120,033,090.
An IPO is planned although it is still in the early days and the timeframe is not yet clear, perhaps 2027, but this may also change as it is a complex process. Shareholders also need to vote in favor of an IPO when the time comes. Regardless, we know of no better way to help alleviate extreme poverty than through socially responsible business practices. With Better Globe, it is as sustainable for your economy as it is for the environment to become a customer and subscribe to their products.
